Learn more about the healing power of group interaction, increase your interpersonal skills and enhance your self-awareness as an individual and as a psychotherapist.

Individual screening and preparation makes groups more effective

I screen and prepare people carefully for my groups.

I have found that it helps if I meet individually with each person from 3-4 sessions, depending on whether he or she has been in other groups before.

The first appointment allows us to see whether we are a good match and feel we can work well together. We also determine whether he or she would benefit from and contribute to one my groups. I use a collaborative approach to clarify the individual'sl goals for the group experience as distinct from the goals of his/her individual therapy.

Individual Therapy for Licensed, Pre-Licensed and seasoned Psychotherapists

Whether you are still in graduate school or are a seasoned therapist, individual therapy can enrich your personal and professional life. We can all benefit from extra support at different points in our lives. (Credit for personal psychotherapy hours is available for trainees who need either individual or group therapy.) NOTE: Unfortunately, at this time I do not have openings for individuals - feel free to check back later in case this changes.

Consultation is an important adjunct throughout our professional lives. Whether individual or in a group setting, consultation is an valuable investment in keeping our clinical skills tuned up. Please see the information about my individual and consultation group.
